There are two Trades and Skills Centres in Saskatchewan. Each centre offers pre-trade training that runs for 6 to 12 weeks. The courses are designed to meet market demand. In most courses there is a combination of in shop training, classroom sessions, and on the job training. Students in the courses are paid for the courses and usually are found jobs in the industry after completion. Courses range from commercial painting, drywall, carpentry, and electrical, but vary depending on the needs of the constuction industry. Students are with instructors that work in the construction industry and are certified trainers.
